On September 5 the Head of the RA NA ARF Faction Armen Rustamyan, the Secretary Aghvan Vardanyan and the member of the faction Artsvik Minasyan met with the members of the delegation led by Bruno Le Roux, Chairman of the Socialist Party Faction of the National Assembly of the Republic of France.
Welcoming the guests’ visit to Armenia, Armen Rustamyan characterized the relations of Armenia and France friendly and warm, and for its development the historical-cultural centuries-old ties and the existence of the Armenian big and influential community in France served as a serious factor. He welcomed the decision of marking the 100th anniversary of the death of the French public-political figure, socialist, a great Armenophile Jean Jaurès. Mr Rustamyan has noted that as bearer of the socialist ideas the Dashnaktsutiun highlights the cooperation with the Socialist Party of France. He addressed a word of appreciation to the French authorities, which had always been next to Armenia and defended the Armenian Cause.
Bruno Le Roux emphasized the more deepening of cooperation of the two parties with the same ideology in different spheres and the exchanges of experience. In this context Aghvan Vardanyan noted that in future the two parties could discuss concrete formats of cooperation and prepare a document of cooperation. Armen Rustamyan has informed the guest that the main problems concerning their party are reflected in the document comprised of 7 paragraphs, within the framework of which they can also cooperate. Artsvik Minasyan spotlighted the exchange of experience in the spheres of combating corruption, constitutional reforms and in a number of other spheres.
In the course of the meeting the sides also touched upon the ideology of the ARF party, the passed path, the NK problem, the Armenian Genocide centenary, the Armenian-French centuries-old friendship and some issues of mutual interest.
